The most amazing time was had. I arrived home this week and can honestly say that I did not expect to be this blown away. Paris delighted in every way & Barcelona, the French Riviera, Florence & Rome were a bonus. Since I went on about my trip so much on my blog, I thought it only fair to post an update! My dearest friends and the lovely girls that write the blogs I frequent every day,

It's time to pack up my shit and move on. My upcoming Paris/Europe trip is around the corner and I hope that it will be a time when I can reflect and change, even if it is in subtle ways. I have dreamed of faraway countries for so long that in case you can't feel it, I'm a little scared! I hope that it will surprise and delight and move me in all the ways that I imagine plus more.

I've thought about my blog for a while now and have come to a place where I no longer feel that it's mine or that it is inspiring. There are so many blogs out there that inspire me in every way that I feel I no longer need to scrapbook them all. It is a little daunting to put this behind me and it will be a test to see if i can resist the urge to come back.

If you've come to paragraph 3, you've done well to read on and you must be one of my dearest friends, many who check in and give me beautiful feedback. To you ladies, thank-you so much! To all the really inspiring and talented bloggers that I have got to know so well, never fear, I will be stalking you all for my fashion fixes and leaving comments :)

Here's my train of thought...as the final details of my holiday are being put to rest, I wake each night with a list of things to remember! It's tiring but the excitement still hasn't relented. My plan is to stick to the age old rule of packing lightly and leaving room for purchases, I just have to get over the looking like a tourist part..eeew.

Although I felt a little sleepy this morning, the rain held off long enough for some TENNIS! I will admit I am very uncoordinated and really don't enjoy being terrible at things but I had such a fun time. It was all about laughing at myself, while trying really really hard and having a ball (!) with friends.

When did this blog go from inspiration to Sabina? I am so immersed in all things travel at the moment that I have had little time turning my attention to fashion. Today I had the most hideous passport photo taken, paid the lovely girl and then came home set up my tripod and posed for 1 hour! It is very funny & i give you all permission to laugh.

The other thing that has been preoccupying my time is where to stay in Paris and which hotel! It is very difficult to decide as they all promise me something wonderful, Left Bank, Montmarte, shopping, sights, parks - I am finding it impossible to decide.

So I have 6 weeks left and no doubt the time will pass quickly. I will stay in Paris for 6 nights then join a tour of Spain & Italy for a further 11 days. Excitement can not build any higher than this, can it? Imagine the day before! Did I mention that I'm petrified of flying, just a minor detail.

Garance Dore manages to move me in some way every time I click onto her blog. Her subjects are not only beautiful but also perfectly groomed and so awe-inspiringly dressed which Dore manages to capture flawlessly. She understands women and style and has an innate eye for detail. Her creative genius also extends to illustration, many of which I have collected over the time of discovering her blog (my desktop is chock full).

Refinery 29 has recognised that such a talent would obviously have her own style secrets and has done a little feature on her. Click here for full read.

What an inspiring and amazing collection. I fell in love with Arnsdorf whilst looking at pictures of the collection during L'Oreal Fashion Week and was privileged enough to receive their look book recently (thanks Bree).

I heart the colours of this collection, monochrome & touches of soft pastel & gold and the gorgeousness of the denim pieces. There's something nostalgic about this collection whilst keeping a modern appeal and structure.

I'm trying to be responsible and plan my next season's wardrobe, so I thought I'd do a mental picture of what I'd like to wear. As the days start off cooler and we have been blessed with sunshine & warm weather in the afternoon, it's all about layering.

I bought some Bloch jazz shoes (metallic baby!) yesterday and have the Sambag boots (pictured above) waiting for collection. I'm guessing lots of skirts and beautiful tights this season and comfy tops that I can throw my leather jacket over with my fave accessory - scarves!

Does anyone own the AA legging/hosiery and have recommendations? I went in a couple of days ago and wanted too many, so recommend away.

And last but not least, how daft is my collage? I no longer have access to Photoshop *sigh* and this is just wrong!

So you've all heard about my beautiful friend CK whose wedding I was looking forward to and attended this past weekend..one word..amazing.

We arrived at a beautiful old home they had hired on the outskirts of Melbourne and it felt as if we were bush, trees everywhere & even kangaroos and the setting was truly inspiring. Out of nowhere walked my gorgeous CK arm in arm with her parents and made everybody cry!

Vogue Paris April 2009 : Scarlett Johansson by Mario Sorrenti

I watched Vicki Christina for the 4th time last night (yep, i have addictive personality traits) which made me want to post this Scarlett cover.

Although I'm incredibly bored with the nymph role she's always made to photograph in, I love her dark look here (much to the disgust of most Fashion Spot forum writers).

What's not to love about these French fillies? I love the colour combination of the grey jeans/jacket worn with the adorable buttoned brown sweater & check shirt and if it's not perfect enough, she rolls her sleeves and owns the most amazing bag *sigh*

My gorgeous future sister-in-law told me to look out for over the knee boots that don't scream street tramp, well I haven't seen them in stores yet but lookie, these are perfect!

Excuse my poorly photos! These are from the Independent Runway Shows I attended on Friday night & the 'High Tea on High' show on Saturday morning.

It has all become a bit of a blur really! Friday night was all about up and coming designers such as Carly Hunter, Daniela Orlando, Dion Lee (yes please), Ellery (sexy studs), House of Baulch (OMFG), Konstantina Mittas, Kuwaii, Limedrop, Lui Hon for Von (v. strong collection), Made in Donald (ah ruffles), maus cat berlin, RestinPeace, Saint Augustine Academy, Trimapee and Who Am I. (more pics to come)

Saturday morning the City of Stonnington hosted a parade showcasing designers from the local area in particular High Street, Armadale. The differences between a morning and night show were abundant yet both catered to their target audience.

Independent Runway was all loud music, dark lights and up and coming designers whereas on Saturday we were spoilt by beautiful cupcakes, sandwiches and much needed coffee and drinks. As I'd already seen Woodford & co's collection in store (I know I'm eager!), the most surprising thing was that I enjoyed Hemden's Men's tailoring the most. It was all beautiful fabrics and lovely prints that would make any man look dashing and dare I say - important!

So I have survived LMFF, even though I didn't attend more shows, I can only imagine how exhausted the real fashion crowd feels!

Runway 5 - now that's where I would have liked to have been. Dark & brooding at my faves Alpha 60, Antipodium & Friedrich Gray. What I love about these designers is their strong directional approach and their ability to take you into their world. Fool was all about colour and knits and Rawsthorne was refreshing amongst all the black and grey. I love the t-shirt at Antipodium and the pants and leggings at Friedrich Gray.

The thing about Runway 4 is that these ladies know how to design clothes for women who like a feminine aesthetic. While Arabella Ramsay is about youthful street culture of a different kind, Obus is all flirty and colourful (that peacock print is unbelievable) but by far my favourite looks were by Kate Sylvester who went all dance & pastel beautiful. Now if you excuse me, I'm off to put on my leg warmers.

What a beautiful day it was today, a bit of pampering, lunch with my gorgeous pregnant friend, LMFF tonight and then a cocktail party - yay.

Hence Runway #3 has been condensed to a quick preview.

And tomorrow? Tomorrow evening I shall drink champagne & toast the nuptials of another sweet, my friend Cafrin. Yay, to friendships, sunshine & fashion.

Akira - I always imagine Akira Isogawa pouring love into his designs as he sits quietly in his studio, perhaps it's the romanticism in his designs that leaves me in wonderment. Akira himself says, “I translate fabrics into soft and romantic silhouettes, using natural fabrics like silks and cottons, which are kind to the skin" and his show at LMFF definitely exemplifies this.

Camilla & Marc, brother & sister duo have a shiny street effect in their collection. Loose garments rocking with metallics and shine. Love the little lace socks!

Dhini ruffled it up with an almost Victorian/girly vibe. Shocks of blue power up their collection of dresses, skirts, tops and sweaters. I wonder if those are Alaia shoes?

Gorman knows how to pack a punch in their dresses and the leather, which I've seen in-store is divinely soft. A very Gorman collection but in this case, using a Autumn/Winter palette.

Has Megan Park been on a Safari lately? If so, what a wonderful inspiration! Lashings of animal print added texture to the beautiful silks and my favourite piece (not pictured) was a short jacket with Chinese dragons. Tres chic.

TL Wood used deep hues (similar to Goot's collection) and the colour played on the fabrics used. The second dress is almost a plaid and it works so well together. Wood had a varied collection of pants, blazers, dresses & skirts and it would be so great to wear her pieces for work or play.

Prints, sheers, fringe and asymmetry. Vixen showed a grown up rock vibe and the collection looks interesting. I'd love to see it in-store and get a feel of the fabrics. Will have to check it out.

Yeojin Bae, the queen of dresses and well cut, beautifully designed clothes. The second dress reminds me of Chanel (not sure why) and I like that there were structured silhouettes in some of her dresses as opposed to all the loose fitting clothes of the moment. I very much like it : )

My favourite Karen Walker piece has to be the beautiful Rooster print dress because of it's colour, cut & versatility. Not one of my favourite collections but nevertheless it delivered true Karen Walker style - with quirky elements and great styling.

Love Josh Goot's wonderful take on tie dye, it's seamless & the palette is very of the moment. Goot's knowledge of fabrics is exemplified in his pieces and I'll take one of each thanks!

Kirrily Johnston goes all goth & flow and makes me wonder if I'd be scared if I met one of these girls in a dark alley? I like the ease of the pieces and imagine the look would not be complete without that scarf...nice.

Grey, metallics and sheer black all works well together but I was not very inspired by this collection. Yes, it's ready to wear and accessible but I wanted more.

Ksubi you excite me. I want to be the girl wearing your clothes getting photographed by the Cobrasnake! Just a thought : )

I'm feeling it, yes I am, especially Kalivas' army green looks. Too cute!

Romance Was Born with little Mickey Mouse ears and tights with holes, fringing galore and pops of colour. Swishing down the runway would not be difficult. Again, the look of the moment for many overseas designers and no doubt, the youth of today will lap it up!

I'm so very excited by the little gem that now hangs in my closet. Yes ladies, I finally got my hands on the Lover leather jacket (pictured above from the Altamont collection). My dearest friend and I have been obsessing over it for a year!

Lover had their first jumble sale in Melbourne this past weekend and it was the best sale I've ever been to.

The clothes hung beautifully, the staff were friendly, there was a great selection and no pushing(!). Lover ladies are the best!

I also bought a vest & jeans and am now a happy little Vegemite. I had to make a hasty exit when Aimée announced, "Mummy you haven't even given me breakfast yet!" She'll understand one day :)

The 'Sacred Hearts' collection (below) is promised in-stores next month and it's beautiful!
